September 8th through 11th witnessed the Source BMX Battle Of Hastings event return for its 6th year at the Source Park, Hastings!

Over the course of 4 days, the best BMX riders from around the world including Boyd Hilder, Kevin Peraza, Lewis Mills, Sergio Layos and Hastings' own Dan Lacey competed in various parts of the event including a new addition for 2022 being the Source BMX Beach Rail Jam. This was a custom built hand rail obstacle directly outside of Source Park next to Hastings piers which attracted a huge crowd for something this town has never seen before!

When all said and done, Australian protege Josh Dove and his team took the overall win and top prize of $7,000 back home with them! Garret Reynolds, the holder of the most X Games Gold medals ever, went away with Best Trick and the Rail Jam winner.

Be sure to put Battle Of Hastings 2023 in your calendars now for September 7th-10th and an eye out for tickets on sale July 23 2023 at sourcebmx.com
